The Interview with The Rev! Part 1

Jack Peterson: Hey this is Team Rev writer Jack Peterson and we are here with the man himself "The Rev". You have had a crazy year so far man with your health, the break up,your family and some other things. Last month you were in the ICU for a week and a half. That's just crazy man let us know what happened and how did you bounce fast.

The Rev: Well I was going through a rough time last month and I guess all the stress finally got to me. I remember I was at my mom's house and we were watching TV and I just blacked out. I woke up in the ambulance and they rushed me to the hospital.

Jack Peterson: That's crazy man what did they say was wrong with you. From the reports that was released to us you have something wrong with your heart. You lived in Montana why didn't anybody do anything for you there. Where was your support at from your family?

The Rev: Well me and my girlfriend back then we went to every doctor that we could find. They all said the sme thing to us we don't know what's wrong. I was seeing a cardiologist about my heart and they had me on a heart monitor. Things were getting done and then we got a call that my cardiologist died!

Jack Peterson: For real?!

The Rev: Yeah he died a week later man after that everything came to a hault!

Jack Peterson: Sources say that you gave up hope is that true?

The Rev: Yeah man I gave up hope I lost an extreme amount of weight and I wouln't get out of bed because I had no energy at all. I had to leave work and stay home and watch the kids. I was angry because there was nothing I could do. I wanted to be in my famlies life but I was so weak.

Jack Peterson: So let me get this straight you were so sick that you had to quit your job and you had to stay home with the kids. Did you get any help watching them?

The Rev: No not really I did the best I could by myself my girl worked to keep everything going and I loved her for that. Now health wise nobody really checked on me or even called to see how I was doing. I remember that my family wasn't that I was home alone with the kids in my condition. It's been really tough for me these past three years.

Jack Peterson: So lets get back to your heart man what's going on I heard it's not looking good how did it get so bad?

The Rev: The tissue and the muscle around my heart is almost gone, the doctors said that I should have just took it easy and let my heart heal. My heart has a low injection rate it only works at 20% right now when someone my age it's supposed to be working at 70%. I worked at my job and it was a fast paced job and I over worked my heart.

Jack Peterson: So let me get this straight you have a heart problem and you still worked?

The Rev: I worked a little the money I made went to my car and the rest went to my family. The car was all I had in my name but I couldn't even drive it because I couldn't afford the plates on it My hours got cut and it was like it was my fault or something. I would was at a low point in my life.

Jack Peterson: So you weren't even supposed to be working man, sounds like you went through this alone man. So health wise your out there where was the kick in the pants that your family out there should've gave you?

The Rev: Everybody was going through their own things at that time and I sorta got lost in translation.

Jack Peterson: Tell us about that Tuesday.

The Rev: I died twice!

Jack Peterson: You died twice!? Yo let me just say this if you have a friend that has died twice and you don't see that this is a good man and he is meant to do great things then your blind.

The Rev: Your crazy man!

Jack Peterson: This is just part 1 part 2 of the interview will be posted tomorrow!

Paranoia The Remix

Promise Land Productions along with Interscope Records will be releasing the first single "Paranoia The Remix". The song is not a club joint it is politically charged talking about war, welfare, and health care in America. The risk of releasing a single like this is a chance that "The Rev" is willing to take. "My music is to educate our people and to send them a message I like dance music as well but really like music that has a real influence. There are some really great story tellers out there but I think we have gotten away from that". The promotion of the single will include a music video a low budget video produced by "The Rev" himself. Promise Land Productions is very happy with the finished product and Interscope will release the single on February 1.
